What have we been up to?

The School Council sold wrist bands during anti-bullying week.

We sold poppies across the school for Remembrance day.

We gave a speech at the Open Day for new parents.

Questions about our school

We introduced ourselves to the whole school in an assembly. We told them what our roles are and how we are hoping to help make our great school even greater.

We sold wrist bands to raise awareness for the charity 'Show Racism the Red Card'.

New Playground Markings

We met with Mrs Sarginson to choose and plan the new playground markings. These have now been installed and enjoyed by all the children.

Christmas Shop

Mrs Dixon helped us to organise a Christmas Novelty shop. We bought small , relatively cheap items like rubbers, pencils and balls. We made advertisement posters and visited classes each day for a week to sell them.

Mirrors for Bathrooms

Year 4 and Year 5 wanted new mirrors fitted in their new bathrooms.

Magic of Books

The children had requested something magical so we linked in with World Book Day and made the theme the Magic of Books. Miss Carnell organised a magician and every class watched a magic show linked to books, we had a great time!

Wellbeing Watercolour Workshops

We asked for creative well being workshops linked to art. so Hugh Templeton worked with all the classes creating beautiful scenes linked to our lessons.

Drama

The school council arranged for drama workshops in the spring term.
