Receiving a letter from the World Wildlife Fund
After writing a letter to the WWF, the children returned to school on Monday and received a letter from the charity explaining what their charity does and helping them identify what animal the strange footprint they found on their hunt belonged to.
Endangered Animal Footprint Hunt
In English, the children are reading the story 'Journey Home'. Before we introduced the book we went on a hunt around school and discovered some endangered animal footprints! We then wrote a letter to the WWF.
VR Goggles
Class 6 enjoyed using the VR goggles in Geography today to gain an immersive experience through the four seasons.
Once a Man Fell in a Well
The children have been learning the melody and tune of the song 'Once a Man Fell in a Well'. We then had the opportunity to read some musical notes and match the pace of the song, making sure we played the correct notes.
Story Writing
Class 6 have been retelling the story of Jim and the Beanstalk, using expanded noun phrases and conjunctions. Throughout our writing we acted out each part!
STAR club
The children have enjoyed STAR club this week. We built models with LEGO, relating them to our class story 'Jim and the Beanstalk'
Compasses
The children enjoyed learning the different points on the compass. We then made our own.
