Learning and News

Class 3 had a lovely time making Christmas crafts with family!

Year 1 had a fantastic trip to the fire station, we learnt all about staying safe and what skills we would need to become a fire fighter.

This week, the children have had a fantastic time learning about staying fit and healthy.

We have had a great time reading The Sea Saw, today we brought our own teddy bears in and read them a story.

We had a super time learning a special Diwali dance!

This week we have been learning about Bonfire Night, we tried some different foods that people eat.

In maths, we have been learning about part whole models, we practised writing matching number sentences.

In art, we have been learning about the artist Kandinsky. We painted pictures using bright colours just like he did,

We used VR goggles to look at the surface of the moon, this helped us with our writing linked to Sidney, Stella and the Moon.

This week in RE we have been learning about Shabbat, this is a special meal for Jewish people.

In science, we have been learning about our senses. We tasted different types of food.

We had a great time in Learning Together this week. We showed our families how we learn maths in Year 1
