Learning and News

In Science, we have been measuring how distance affects the volume of sound.

What a marvelous time we had at the Manchester Palace Theatre!

Creating articles for our Sports Journalism workshop.

For Life Skills day, we learned how to wrap presents!

Strike a pose! We created raps about how to conserve water.

We have been creating freeze frames in PSHE to show conflicts that could happen in the playground. We then worked on conflict resolution and how to resolve issues.

In Art, Class 10 have been looking at different textures. We went into the playground to do some rubbings of the different textures we could find.

Class 10 have been using chalk to write in History, to feel like a Victorian child.

Class 10 have been using VR goggles in Geography to track the journey of a river in the mountains.

We had lots of festive fun, with a visit from Santa and a Christmas party!

Class 10 took a trip to the M6 Theatre this week where we joined another year 4 class from another school to take part in a drama workshop and watch a play! We made some new friends and will be keeping in touch through the linking project!

Class 10 did an egg-speriment this week! Looking at which liquids cause tooth decay.

Class 10 took part in Freddy Fit this afternoon, keeping ourselves active and having fun!

Class 10 studied Ancient Roman artefacts today in our history lesson. We looked at what these items were made of and their purpose.

We enjoyed being archaeologists and violinists this week!

Class 10 used counters in maths this week to help with adding and subtracting.

Class 10 had the opportunity to use virtual reality goggles in Geography. We explored different volcanoes across the world and were able to use our knowledge of volcanoes to point out key features.

Class 10 used Isle of Tunes to create digital music in computing this week. They enjoyed creating different rhythms and sounds to create a tune.

Class 10 started their first whole class music lesson this week. They enjoyed learning how to hold a violin, clapping along to rhythm and they played the notes G, D, A and E.

Class 10 created stained, glass windows on their first week back in RE. They created images to represent Christian ideas about God.
