Safeguarding Notice

Learning and News

We have loved learning about the First Flight. We created a poster to show everything we have learnt and then turned it into a paper aeroplane. We had a competition to see whose could fly the furthest.

We went to visit the chicks that Reception have been looking after. We had to be very careful and very gentle. We spoke about the life cycle of a chicken.

In Maths, we have been practicing reading scales. We used weighing scales to measure the mass of different things, using grams and kilograms.

We enjoyed planting Sunflower seeds, looking after them and watching them grow!

We enjoyed a visit from the dental nurse and learnt more about why we should eat a healthy and balanced diet and the importance of brushing teeth.

We loved showing all that we have learnt in our class assembly. Thank you to everyone who came to watch us!

We all looked amazing for World Book Day! We had a day filled with crafts, activities and even a magic show.

In maths, we have been learning hot to measure length using centimetres and metres. We used a trundle wheel to measure the length of parts of our playground.

We have enjoyed watching our friends present their PIPs this half term.

Even though we haven't been able to go outside because of the weather, we have still been keeping active.

In RE we have made our own Mezuzahs. We wrote a small prayer and put it inside like they do in Jewish homes.

In Science, we are testing how long bread stays fresh in different wrappers. We have made predictions and can't wait to find out the results.

We have enjoyed practicing the running stitch, that we learnt in Year 1. We found it a little tricky but tried our best!

Look who came to visit us today!!

We are so proud of the children's performance in 'The Mouse in Santa's House'. Thank you for coming to watch.

In Computing, we carried out research about a famous explorer and presented our findings to our class.

We welcomed parents into school for Christmas Craft and we had an excellent time!

Freddie Fit visited this week. He certainly put us through our paces!

We made some great posters for Anti-Bullying Week.

In Science we explored changing the shape of materials by using squeezing, squashing, twisting and bending!

In RE we learnt about Tzedakah, which is the Jewish idea of giving to those who need help. We made Tzedakah boxes!

This week in STAR club we worked together to build a tower out of cards. It was tricky but we persevered!

This week we have been adding by making ten. We used ten frames to help us.

We have enjoyed our PE lessons of using different skills to race against our friends!

In Science we tested how the speed of the car changes as it goes over different surfaces. We also learnt about friction.

We enjoyed our first session of Star Club! We worked as a team to build a bridge over the river.

We made bear sandwiches and then wrote instructions on how to make them!
