In History we looked at artefacts from ancient Roman times.We used magnifying glasses to study the items! Then we chose our favourite 3 items drew them and discussed what they might of been used for.
Today we took part in Freddy fit and had a great time trying out new exercises and skills!
In Spanish, we have been using our new knowledge about ‘los animales’ to play a game of Guess Who with our partners.
Today in Deepening Reading, we focused on the text “The History Behind Christmas Traditions.” We identified key words from the text and matched them to their correct definitions using a loop game. This helped us understand important vocabulary and learn more about where Christmas traditions come from.
In maths this week we have been learning about measuring the area of a shape using counters.
In Science, we explored how animals are classified into vertebrates and invertebrates. We researched their key characteristics and used what we learned to design creative posters.
"In Geography this week, we explored what it’s like to be right next to a volcano using virtual reality headsets — it felt like we were actually there!"
This week in PSHE, Class 10 have been looking at conflicts, negotiations, and compromises. In groups we acted out a conflict scenario, held a negotiation, and came to a compromise.
In maths this week, we have been learning about place value. To enhance our understanding, we have been using place value charts.
In DT, we have been using laptops to research everyday items that contain levers and pivots
