Learning and News

In groups, we have been placing the different parts of the digestive system in the correct places, in order, on a body outline. Hopefully we know a bit more about our digestive systems!

Today, we looked at artefacts from ancient Roman times. We used magnifying glasses to study the items, drew them and discussed what they might have been used for.

We have been learning about our teeth in science. We used mirrors to look at and identify our own teeth. What are our different teeth called?

Class 9 designed and created levers and pivots in DT

This week in Class 9 we have been using body percussion to create sounds of the rainforest! Boom, snap, clap!

This week, class 9 have been using VR headsets to explore volcanoes in geography.

This week in PSHE, class 9 have been looking at conflicts, negotiation and compromises. We acted out a conflict scenario, held a negotiation and came to a compromise.

This week we have been doing research in DT. We have been looking at which everyday items have levers and pivots.

What a brilliant first week back we have had! The children created some polaroids of what they did during the summer.
