Forces and How Britain has changed since the Victorian era.
This half term, in geography, we will be looking at how Great Britain has changed over time. The difference between the political and geographical terms for the U.K,, the capital cities and different regions as well as how significant events have had an impact from the Victorian age, to World War 2 and right up to the 2012 London Olympics. In Science we will also be exploring the different types of forces and their effects.
Throughout the Autumn terms we will be looking at our new theme-Chocolate. It will be a cross-curricular theme that looks at properties of materials (including melting points of chocolate ) as well as the Mayan civilisation ( who were responsible for discovering cacao beans.)
