Summer term 1
This half term our Geography theme is looking at the Alps. We will explore how a mountain develops, climates and weather, suitable housing and tourism for the alpine region. We will also describe the formation, flow and retreat of alpine glaciers as well as the impact of an avalanche. In Science, we will learn about human growth and development, the gestation periods of mammals and birds as well as human changes through puberty and old age.
Anglo-Saxons and Earth and Space
This half term we will be looking at daily life and developments in the Anglo-Saxon period, as well as Earth and Space. The links below will help with resources and information for the new topics.
Forces and How Britain has changed since the Victorian era.
This half term, in geography, we will be looking at how Great Britain has changed over time. The difference between the political and geographical terms for the U.K,, the capital cities and different regions as well as how significant events have had an impact from the Victorian age, to World War 2 and right up to the 2012 London Olympics. In Science we will also be exploring the different types of forces and their effects.
