At Hopwood we are proud to be a part of the myHappymind Family!

 

 

As a whole school programme grounded in science and dedicated to building positive mental wellbeing, myHappymind helps children understand how their brains work and creates a culture that helps to build children’s resilience, confidence, and self-esteem.

This is truly a programme for the whole school community. We have an app for families where you can access many of the resources, songs and games that your children use at school so that everyone can benefit from and share understanding for happier minds.

Here is an outline of what children cover in each module throughout the year:

 

 

Understanding how the brain works and how to ensure we look after it so that we can manage out emotions and be at our best. 

 

 

Understanding our unique Character Strengths and learning to celebrate them. This is a wonderful module for building self-esteem.

 

 

Understanding why gratitude matters and how you can develop an 'attitude to gratitude'. Gratitude is key to well-being and reslilience.

 

 

We develop an understanding of why positive relationships matter and how to build them, 

 

 

We look at setting purposeful and meaningful goals and how children can stay resilient in times of challenge.
