What have we been up to?

World Book Day

We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day this year. We had some special visitors who told us about the importance of reading and read a story to us all. The librarians held a book swap shop and children came and picked their own story from the librarians. The librarians helped children to choose their own books.

Book Fair

We held a book fair this week and are excited to find out how much money we have raised to buy new books for our library.

Valentines and the Library of Love

Our new theme in the library is love. Have you spotted our display? It gives you the chance to take a blind date with a mystery book. Take it home and let us know what you think about it on facebook and twitter. We cannot wait to hear all about it.

Golden Tickets

The librarians have made some golden tickets and hid them in the books in the library. We have had two lucky winners today. Can you find any of the tickets!

New Dazzle Pack

Our new dazzle pack has arrived full of brand new books including twisted tales and brand new non-fiction. The librarians have been busy sorting through them and stamping them ready for you to borrow them from the library. Keep your eyes peeled for some recommendations next week.

Christmas in the Library

Have you seen our library displays? Have a look at some of our Christmas books. See if you can spot the snowman.

Book Sale

The librarians held a book sale to raise some money to buy their own new books for the library. They helped some of the younger children to pick a book about their interests and guided the older children to the correct places.
