This half term in geography we will be learning about the Alps. We will discover where they are, how they were formed, how homes are adapted to suit the alpine climate, what the main industries are and how glaciers and avalanches have changed the landscape. In science, we will be learning about forces and how these were discovered. We will learn about why gravity is important, how air resistance works with parachutes, what friction and water resistance are and how this links with our DT topic of pulleys and gears.
