Learning and News

W/C 29/3/21 - We have been sharing different feelings when reading 'The Odd Egg' and have written them in some thought bubbles.

W/C 22.3.21 - We have been learning how to play a pentatonic scale in music this week. The notes were played from low to high.

W/C 15.3.20 - We enjoyed making our friends laugh on RND by telling our favourite jokes!

Who made the tallest tower - lots of sticky fun in our team building session.

W/C 8.3.21 - This week we went on an exciting rocket adventure during our immersive learning session!

WC 2.3.21 - We have been measuring weight using cubes.

Our topic this half term is "What was it like when our grandparents were young?" We are going to be looking at what school was like, what they spent their pocket money on and what hobbies they enjoyed and compare it to us today! 



WC 23.11.20 - We have been following and writing instructions on 'How to make a pirate hat' We have been using bossy verbs and time adverbs!

WC 16.11.20 - Look! There are some superheros in Class 4!

WC 9.11.20 - Class 4 are designing and learning how to make fruit kebabs. Here are some of our designs that we made on Clicker 7.

WC 2.11.20 - In science, we have been testing the best material for a polar explorers gloves. We found out that leather kept or hands warm and dry!

This half term we are learning about the Gunpowder Plot - What do we do every year to remember the 5th November?

WC 19.10.20 - We have had lots of fun dressing up in our Halloween costumes today!

WC 5.10.20 - In art we have been recreating the work of Wassily Kandinsky using primary colours and collage.

WC 21.9.20 - In music, we have been playing the instruments to the beat of the song.

WC 14.9.20 - In maths we have been using cubes to compare more and less.

WC 7.9.20 - We have been using counters in maths to find 1 more and 1 less.

WC 31.8.20 - We have been thinking about our dreams and goals for Year 1 and making dream catchers.

Welcome Year 1! We have been getting to know each other and our families.

Our first topic this year is 'What is it like where we live?'. We will be looking at our local area to identify places near and far.
