Learning and News

Our new topic is 'Hidden in the garden.' What is hidden in your garden? Have a look at the new books we will be learning about.

We have been learning to recognise our numbers with Ten Town. Nina Nine taught us about her construction site and how to form the number nine correctly.

We have been learning about Remembrance day and why poppies are used to remember. We laid the wreath at the flagpole.

We really enjoyed celebrating bonfire night in Class 2. We made chocolate sparkles, watched a firework show and made our own firework pictures.

Welcome back after the October half term. We are very excited to start our new topic 'Our wonderful world.' We are going to be learning about the weather and the seasons through the following books: the Gruffalo, Stickman and the Snowman. 



Welcome to Reception. We are very excited for the term to start and cannot wait to meet all of you. Our first topic is 'Superhero Me.' We will be looking at how we are superheroes and who is a superhero at home. We will be looking at our STAR books - Starting school, Elmer, Supertato and Funnybones. We cannot wait to see what you have been up to over the summer.  

We are so excited to have all of our children in reception. We have been having lots of fun exploring the areas and finding out about Elmer the elephant.
