Learning and News

Welcome back after the October half term. We are so excited to start our next topic 'Our wonderful world.' We are going to be looking at the weather and seasons through the following books: the gruffalo, stickman and the snowman.

Class 1 were SO excited when Santa visited Hopwood. Here are some pictures of Class 1 enjoying time with Santa and his reindeers.

Class 1 were playing quiz, quiz trade. They were asking each other what one less of their number is, then swaping pieces of paper and asking other children around the classroom. They did a great job! Well done.

Class 1 have been remembering the soldiers that died in the war. They went outside and lay a poppy wreath, listened to a poem and had a 2 minute silence.

Class one has had a fantastic time learning about Bonfire night. They have made bonfires out of tissue paper, made rockets and drew fireworks. They also made chocolate sparklers.

Class 1 have been practising their letter formation outside.

Class 1 have been thinking about what they are grateful for and coloured in rainbows. They are so happy to be back at school.

Class1 have enjoyed making leaf people.

Class 1 have been doing lots of practical maths this week.
