We hope you had a lovely half term break and are ready for the busiest time of the year! The children’s learning will continue to be based around books and the children are all keen to develop their learning in our new topic ‘Princes and Princesses’. We will be looking at lots of different stories including; Cinderella, Zog, Frozen as well as non-fiction texts about Knights and castles! Our Christmas concert is under way and all the children are already so excited!
This week the children have been learning about instructions. We helped Prince Charming make jam sandwiches for the party. The children followed instructions to make jam sandwich and ordered instructions.
Today the children came back from dinner to find the treasure chest filled with lots of exciting things! We spoke about what it could be and who could have put it there? We then opened it to find a letter from Cinderella and Prince Charming asking for our help. They are having a special ball to celebrate Prince Charming's birthday and need our help to get things ready. We made a list of all of the things we need to make for the ball. The children are all so excited and can't wait to get busy making things!
Class 1 went on the computers today to create their own patterns. We used the paint program on 2Simple and picked our own colours using the mouse.
