In our computing lesson this week we learned about Ada Lovelace, who wrote the instructions for the first computer program. We used LEGO WeDo to construct some eyes for her, then we wrote a simple line of code to make her eyes spin.

Welcome back to Year One! We are looking forward to a very busy year ahead, with lots of exciting topics to learn about. Our first topic is 'Let's Build.' We will be learning about our local area and the building we can find, what type of houses we live in and what the strongest material is to build a house for the three little pigs.
